Artist’s F.A.Q.

F.A.Q.s for Artists, Content Creators, and Organizations

Introduction

Phuzzlings is a free-to-play paint-by-numbers mobile app that lets users create puzzles from their own images. Artists and content creators can make collections of puzzles from their images and make them available through the app. Artists retain all rights to their images and can use the app to drive traffic to their site for monetization. There is a revenue sharing program, an early adopter program, and a referral program.

If everything below seems like a lot to take in, the minimum to get started is:

  1. Fill in the interest form to start the account creation process. The form is here.
  2. Create and upload a collection of 5-10 puzzles (Phuzzles) using the app. This is quick and easy to do. If you are an Early Adopter you can just email images to us and we will do the rest for you.
  3. Post a link to your collection on social media.

Everything else, including revenue sharing, can be handled later, although it might benefit you to know about the referral program.

There are four F.A.Qs here. The General Creator F.A.Q, the Revenue Sharing F.A.Q., the Early Adopter Benefits F.A.Q., and the Referral Program F.A.Q.

General Creator F.A.Q.

Category: 1. Getting Started

Images that have lots of tiny details do not work well as puzzles sometimes. However a photo of the trees in fall in Maine would work well because the tiny details of the leaves are not important to the overall image. Images that have large areas of the same color sometimes do not work well. However an interesting subject against a flat background might still work.

Sometimes the media makes a difference. For example with photographs, some make better puzzles than others, but pretty much all watercolor paintings make good puzzles.

If in doubt, try it in Phuzzlings on “Easy” because that will create the lowest quality of “painting”.
