Artist Self-Promotion Guidelines

The goal

IMPORTANT! The passive income your content generates is based on the number of coins that users spend playing your content. Your income is not affected by whether users watch an ad or purchase coins before, during, or after playing your content. Motivating users to play your content and spend coins is perfectly acceptable – as the coins have no monetary value – and we encourage you do that. Encouraging users to watch ads is not allowed and does not affect your revenue in any way.

Invite fans to play your puzzles and spend coins—without asking anyone to watch/click ads “to support you.” as our ad provider (Google) prohibits that.

Golden rules (must follow)

  1. Don’t ask for ad views or clicks. Never say “watch an ad to support me,” “please click ads,” or similar. You may not promise compensation to yourself (a third party) for ad interactions. Google Program Policies Help
  2. Keep focus on gameplay. It’s fine to ask fans to play your puzzles and spend coins on them. (Coins are in-app only; no cash value.)
  3. Rewards are optional. Players choose whether to watch a rewarded ad. Messages in your Phuzzles must not pressure or obligate them. Google Rewarded Ads Help
  4. No “ad-farming.” Don’t encourage repeated ad watching or any trick that could inflate ad activity. (Google calls this invalid traffic.) Google Invalid Traffic Help

Say this (approved copy you can reuse)

  • “Play my new Phuzzlings puzzle and spend your coins to complete it.”
  • “Use your coins to try my latest set.”
  • “Earn coins in-app and spend them on my puzzles.”
  • “Thanks for playing—your coin spend helps my puzzles rank up.”

Don’t say this (examples to avoid)

  • “Watch an ad to support me / to donate.”
  • “Please click the ads so I get paid.”
  • “Watch ads and I’ll get revenue.”
  • “Ad views go directly to me/my charity.”

Why: Encouraging ad interaction or promising compensation to anyone violates Google policy—even if intentions are good. Google Help

Post A (new drop):
“My new art just dropped on Phuzzlings! Play it and spend your coins to finish the puzzle. Tell me your best time #phuzzlings #puzzlegame”

Post B (series):
“My [Theme] puzzle set is live! Use your coins to try them and tag me with the success message. #digitalart #puzzlegame”

Post C (evergreen):
“On Phuzzlings now—play my puzzles and have fun. Coins are earned in-app; spend them on my sets anytime.”

  • “You can earn coins in the app and spend them on my puzzles.”

  • We will remove or suspend your account if you  ask for ad views/clicks or imply “ad revenue goes to me if you watch.”  Google Help
